He was born in Ordu in 1981. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ordu. In 1998, he started his dentistry education at Ege University Faculty of Dentistry. He graduated in 2004 and did his military service in Etimesgut Ankara in the same year. Later, he opened his own practice in Bitlis Ahlat in 2005. After working in his own practice until 2008, he worked at Bitlis Ahlat State Hospital for 6 months and resigned from the State Hospital position in July 2008. He started working in a private clinic in Antalya in August 2008. He has been working as a private practice physician in his own clinic since May 2009. Oktay Aykut Engür, who enjoys the profession of dentistry, closely follows the newly published books, scientific articles, journals, national and international congresses and seminars in this field. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Antalya Chamber of Dentists' Board of Directors. He served as the Chairman of the Community Oral and Dental Health Commission for the first two terms of this membership and as a member of the board of directors responsible for the student branch of Antalya Akdeniz University Faculty of Dentistry. He has been the Chairman of the Social Commission since 2018. During his duty as the community oral health commission, he gave oral and dental health training to students in 55 village schools in Antalya Kaş district for 5 years with volunteer physicians. In the Children's Festival organized by TRT in Antalya Glass Pyramid, 25 thousand children were examined and trained. In 2018, he was the coordinator of the 'Healthy teeth, happy smiles project' held together with the Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Chamber of Dentists. Together with 53 dentists, he gave screening and training to 14 thousand students in 110 primary schools. Oktay Aykut Engür, who aims to give everyone a healthy smile, believes that doing his job with love will bring success. He is married and has two children.
